It seems only fitting that we write a few words about it here! Maybe you’re wondering why we are writing an article about a movie on a music blog and we can’t blame you. Well, as you might have noticed, we love talking about French culture, so we’re not gonna miss that opportunity to brag a little bit !

More seriously, music has always taken a major place in cinema. It’s all the more true when it comes to a silent movie like The Artist. BAFTAs, Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, European Film Awards,Golden Globes,Césars… The list goes on, more than 60 awards for the film since its premiere in Cannes last year. Last but not least, on Sunday night, The Artist won 5 Academy Awards – best actor for Jean Dujardin, best director for Michel Hazanavicius, best picture, best costumes and… best original score for Ludovic Bource.

Not bad for a film sans dialogue!
