After their acclaimed album “Welcome To Mali”, which included their single “Sabali” that warmed us up in the winter of 2008, Amadou & Mariam are back with their new album “FOLILA” (“The Musique” in Bambara), released this Monday 2nd April worldwide on Because Music.
The album features numerous prestigious guests, including Santigold, Tunde & Kyp of TV On The Radio, Ebony Bones, Theophilus London, Bertrand Cantat, Amp Fiddler, Abdallah Oumbadougou (Desert Rebel) and Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters.
These last 2 years, Amadou & Mariam took part in various international events such as openings for Coldpaly in the US in Summer 2009 and then openings for U2 in South Africa where they played in front of more than 100,000 people.
